An Taoiseach Visits Brady Insurance

On Friday 22nd February 2019 Brady Insurance kicked off their 60th Anniversary with a visit from An Taoiseach.

Leo Varadkar joined the Brady Insurance team as they commenced the celebrations of their 60th year in business.
This local, home-grown brokerage is now a leading and multi award-winning Irish brokerage employing 22 staff in Carrick-on-Shannon and Dublin. Brady Insurance is proud to be entering its 60th Year in business and is thriving with 3 new employees hired since the start of the year. Brady Insurance have developed software to wholesale to other brokers, and have an established Polish department and have launched brands including ‘Eventinsure.ie’ and ‘Brady Underwriting’.
With their head offices on Main Street, Carrick-on- Shannon, Brady Insurance has come a long way since the retail insurance brokerage originally set up by Joe Brady, the father of the current MD Jane Brady some 60 years ago.

The retail side of the business - Brady Insurance, is a well-established household name, relied upon and trusted by families and businesses locally and beyond for everything from home, motor, farm and a multitude of business insurances.
Recent years however has seen this business develop beyond retail and the Taoiseach was keen to hear of the expansion of the Leitrim company.
Jane Brady explained that by creating their own software and insurance trading platform, the company has extended beyond the Leitrim county borders and now develops insurance products via Lloyds and other UK markets for distribution to Irish Consumers at fair prices. She went on to explain that, despite Brexit, their ultimate goal of underwriting from their headquarters in Leitrim to customers around Europe and to sell their proprietary software platform abroad is still on target.
Before taking his leave, An Taoiseach, congratulated Jane and Colm McGrath, MD of sister company, Surety Bonds and their collective teams on the 60th anniversary of Brady Insurance and wished them every continued success, he remarked:.

I am so glad to visit today and to support a local business providing important insurance services locally and wish them every sucess for the future, and from what Jane has told me, it looks like a very bright future for this company
