Jane Brady our MD, commented "It provides confidence and certainty to those businesses who have struggled with either securing insurance or have been crippled by exorbitant premiums in recent years,” said Ms Brady.
Scheme Welcomed by Minister of State Robert Troy
According to an IBEC report last year, the experience economy supports over 330,000 jobs directly and indirectly and contributes €4 billion to the economy. Therefore it is no wonder that in Government, the scheme has met with approval. The Office to Promote Competition in the Insurance Market, has a mandate to increase competition particularly in distressed areas. Having held the belief that the market can be improved our director, Jane Brady, has been in communication with that office and informed the debate over many years.
Robert Troy TD, Minister of State for Financial Services, Credit Unions and Insurance met with Jane Brady at the end of February to hear the details and give encouragement to innovation in the insurance market. He was pleased to hear of a new entrant and remarked "The success of companies like Brady Insurance demonstrates the depth of skills and expertise within our domestic insurance sector. By responding to market needs and working with industry groups in identifying underserved areas, insurers and brokers play a vital role in helping businesses and communities across the country thrive,” To read more of the government statement on our innovative scheme, it is liked on Gov.ie here.
The Leisure Sector
The leisure sector in Ireland supports 330,000 jobs directly and indirectly, according to employers’ confederation, IBEC. Businesses in this sector have been vigourously campaigning and bringing their insurance issues to light for years.
“The scarcity of insurance options has placed immense pressure on the experience economy, leading to business closures and job losses,” said Jane Brady, Managing Director of Brady Insurance. “We hope our new policy not only addresses this critical gap by providing accessible coverage for individual businesses, but to strengthens the market generally by providing competition, and reacts to the reforms that have ultimately given us the confidence to insure risks in this area".
